Tom Booth, a long-time music composer and Arizona Catholic, will lead a series of mid-week gatherings for adults focused on Eucharistic adoration. “In Presenza Di,” Latin for “In His Presence,” is in its fourth year and meets the last Wednesday of each month at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale.
Booth will lead those who come — mature teenagers and other youth are also welcome — through praise and worship, traditional Franciscan devotion used for Exposition and Benediction, Scripture readings and guest speakers. The 7-8:30 p.m. gathering is free with no registration required.
“All you need to do is be present and allow God to be present to you,” Franciscan Father Peter Kirwin, rector of the Franciscan Renewal Center, wrote in an e-newsletter.
Booth is scheduled to speak Aug. 28. Future guest speakers include Jesse Manibusan, a catechist, entertainer and co-founder of 2 by 2 Ministries. His wife is the other co-founder. Catholic musician Trevor Thomson, Brian Cannon, director of education and outreach at St. Paul Parish, plus Nortbert Zwickl and Franciscan Father Joe Schwab, both from The Casa, will also speak.
