The Saints play their last regular season game on their feast day Nov. 1. The next night, the extended Notre Dame Preparatory community will gather and “tailgate” once more, this time for the school’s annual culinary festival.
The theme, “Tailgating for Tomorrow” highlights the need to raise funds to finish a sports complex that will bring future home games on campus. Athletes and fans have been traveling for “home” games since Notre Dame opened 11 years ago.
The Nov. 2 culinary festival is for adults only and will offer a sampling of menu items from top chefs around the Valley, games a live band and raffle. The grand prize winner will receive $5,000 cash or one year of school tuition. True to its name, the tailgating celebration will be held in the newly completed parking lot that will serve athletes and fans for years to come when the full sports complex opens.
