The Couple to Couple League, a Catholic organization that trains couples in Natural Family Planning, is turning to crowd funding in order to publish a book about marriage.
“Your Love Story,” penned by Deacon Bill Turrentine of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, is the fruit of 30 years of work alongside his wife helping young couples prepare for marriage. The short book presents the Catholic vision of the sacrament of matrimony.
According to For Your Marriage, an initiative of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, couples report more overall satisfaction with their marriage when both partners regularly attend Mass and feel God is the center of their marriage.
“There is an urgent need to reach out to young couples and show them the beauty of a marriage lived in Christ,” Deacon Turrentine said.

Michael Manhart, executive director of Couple to Couple League, said the organization is seeking the support of the wider community because there is a pressing need for formation on marriage and family today.
“There are so many factors in our culture that work to choke out the potential for strong and healthy marriages. The Church’s teachings on marriage, family and sexuality are like the oxygen these young people need to take root and grow,” Manhart said.
Cindy Leonard, coordinator of the Office of Natural Family Planning for the Diocese of Phoenix, said the book will help those who are planning to wed.
“A book such as CCL’s ‘Your Love Story’ can be a wonderful resource for marriage prep,” Leonard said. “Couples want to form stronger marriages right from the start and this can help them do it right!”
