A trio of nationally-known comedians will perform 7 p.m. April 16 at Xavier College Preparatory’s Virginia G. Piper Performing Arts Center in Phoenix. Proceeds from ticket sales and an “ask” will benefit Life Choices Women’s Clinics and the Hope Mobile Clinic, whose locations saw some 7,000 office visits last year.
Laugh4Hope is a fun-filled evening with adults and families from across the Valley laughing til it hurts. Judy McDonald, a hilarious comedy success, engages audiences across the country in live events, radio, and television. Daren Streblow has made hundreds of thousands of people laugh throughout the U.S. and around the world, has performed for Disney Cruise Line and Universal Studios, and is the host of his own syndicated comedy show airing in over 70 markets in the U.S. and Canada. Jonnie W is a joke-teller and music maker from Nashville who sells out shows coast to coast.
Tess Diaz, an audience member, commented, “Months after the event, in the middle of the morning breakfast frenzy, one of my kids cracked a joke we heard at Laugh4Hope. Instead of yelling, we all ended up laughing out loud together! I’ve never laughed so hard in my life!”
Laugh4Hope, which is expected to sell out this year, raises funds for Valley locals in need of some hope. Life Choices Women’s Clinics and the Hope Mobile Clinic provide women with access to health care services regardless of ability to pay. Providing clients with material and emotional support, cervical cancer screenings, breast exams, resources – it’s all in a day’s work for this friendly, welcoming group of women serving women.
“Life Choices gave me so much hope,” says Laura, a student who approached the clinic when she needed help. Resources and support from the clinic helped her finish school and build a new life.
