The world’s refugee crisis is one of the greatest humanitarian emergencies today. Modern-day refugees spend an average of 17 years displaced. Act now by encouraging Congress to fund humanitarian and poverty-focused international assistance in the FY 2017 appropriations bill, as shown in this chart.
Government action would be in addition to work that the Catholic Church via CRS is already doing with Caritas partners throughout the Middle East and Europe, as well as with Muslim and Orthodox Christian agencies. It would also be in addition to seven things you can do as an individual to help.
