NOTE: Christ in Our Neighborhood is a parish-based program consisting of small groups that gather in the home weekly to discuss and pray through the upcoming Sunday Mass readings. Find out more at Christ in Our Neighborhood – The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix (dphx.org)

This coming Sunday, we celebrate the Sixth Sunday of Ordinary Time. The question the Christ in Our Neighborhood Reflection asks us is: In what way do I practice my faith and trust in the Lord?

Faith is more than just an intellectual assent to the truths of our faith. It means placing all our trust in Him, trusting that even in the midst of darkness, the light of Christ will not be overcome. God has a plan for our good, though it may not always feel like that.

Faith means trusting Him even when we can’t see what’s ahead. It means delighting in God and His law.

If you haven’t joined a Christ in Our Neighborhood small group yet, perhaps you are being called to start one yourself. Check out our website today to find out more: dphx.org/Christ-in-our-neighborhood.
