While the world is focused on Feb. 28 being the final day of Pope Benedict XVI’s pontificate, it’s also the last chance Catholics have to show “charity that makes the Church to live in love,” as the pope said in his final general audience Feb. 27, and have it count.
Tomorrow is the final deadline to register online for this weekend’s Hike for the Homeless benefiting St. Joseph the Worker. Registration for the Mach 9 "Run 4 the Nuns" is also underway.

Weekend calendar: Feb. 22-24
Don't forget about fish/soup/spaghetti dinners at your parish and Stations of the Cross on Friday. Feel free to pray for our nearly 250 deacons who are on retreat this weekend and support local Catholic school students headed to Ireland. Also, a big thank you to local Catholics who have signed up to give blood before or after Mass at three East Valley parishes Sunday. Some appointments are still available.
