“A Treasured Presence”

One of the many activities lined up for the year-long celebration of the 500th year anniversary of Christianity of the Philippines, this is a spiritual retreat that the Filipino Catholic Community at Our Lady of the Valley Parish (FCCOLV) in collaboration with the Saint Paul’s Church put together where invited guest, Fr. Ricky Manalo,CSP will talk about the most treasured heritage of the Filipino Catholics, and that is the gift of Faith.

The event will start on November 13 with a Mass at St. Paul’s Church to be concelebrated by Bishop Eduardo Nevarez and officiated by Fr. Ricky Manalo. Thereafter, talks, reflections and discussions will move to the social hall. At the close of the retreat, a Eucharistic celebration will be held the following day, November 14, Sunday at the Our Lady of the Valley Church, to be officiated by Fr. Manalo.

Father Ricky Manalo, CSP is a musician and composer of liturgical music. He is also a writer and recently authored “A Treasured Presence: Celebrating the Gifts of Filipino American Catholics.” The theme of his retreat is “A Treasured Presence.”
