Beth Strano oversees the International Rescue Committee’s Phoenix Welcome Center, a 24-hour emergency services shelter that served 49,000 asylum seekers (adults and children) in 2022. She is also a member of multiple task forces and coalitions, working closely with stakeholders and policymakers in Arizona and nationally.
Juan M. Moran is the Community Relations Officer for U.S. Citizens & Immigration Services District 31 (AZ & NM), Department of Homeland Security. With more than 30 years experience in this field, he has extensive knowledege of border operations, detention management, and immigration law, as well as policies and practices.
Marshall G. Whitehead, Esq. is a Casa Community member and has practiced immigration law for more than 40 years. He represents clients in proceedings to determine asylum eligibility, hardship relief, and visa eligibility. He has argued applications for relief in multiple immigration courts throughout the U.S., including state and federal prisons.
