Broken and Blessed Retreat

October 4 @ 4:00 pm - October 6 @ 1:00 pm

$250.

Marianne Gouveia and Greg Eckerman

A retreat for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.

When someone dies by suicide, their loved ones left behind after this tragedy are devastated. In the wake of this devastation, we face existential questions about the mysteries of life and death — “Where is God in my pain?” “Why did God let this happen?” “Where is my loved one, and are they OK?”

The Broken and Blessed Retreat will help those bereaved by suicide reconcile and process their pain, understand their feelings of powerlessness, and find comfort in God’s mercy. We will debunk the myths surrounding suicide and help you understand that our loved ones are safe in Heaven and that we can all receive the power of God’s immense love.

Based in Catholic tradition, this retreat will enable you to escape everyday life to find hope and comfort and seek spiritual healing with others who know and understand your pain. The weekend will include a discussion with clergy, group sessions, liturgies, and prayer services. You are invited to share as much or as little as you like. This retreat is open to all adults who have lost a loved one to suicide, and all faiths are welcome.
