Care for Creation Ministry
The ecosystems of tropical forests possess an enormously complex biodiversity which is almost impossible to appreciate fully. – Pope Francis, Laudato Si’, #38
As we come to the close of our month honoring St. Francis of Assisi, join other people of faith for an evening of good food, thought provoking movie viewing and great conversation around important issues affecting our planet — our “Common Home.” Pope Francis continues to encourage all people of good will to protect God’s creation by addressing ecological issues facing us today. Over the years, we have done that with our Creation Connection Movie Nights where we view inspiring movies documenting courageous and creative individuals and groups who are finding solutions to real environmental issues in our communities.
Our October movie night features two (2) short films: “Trees Will Save Our Planet” and “The Redwood Saga: One Man’s Mission to Revive the Last Redwood Forests.” We will close the event with small group discussions, action plans, and a short contemplative prayer.
Come to learn. Come to gain support for the work you are doing. Come to meet others committed to the vision of an earth that is loved and protected. Come to find a way to get involved. Come to be inspired.
