The most important requirement for anyone considering Engaging Spirituality is a longing for a deeper and and wider appreciation for life.

Engaging Spirituality (ES) is a small group process that invites us to draw our broken and beautiful world, into reflection and hold it in prayer. It is about slowing down, listening, breathing, caring, and connecting deeply. We practice living deeply/contemplatively as well as loving broadly/compassionately.

ES gathers weekly. From mid-February through early April a group of 10 – 15 people accompany one another through the course materials. Groups are co-facilitated. There is an Opening Retreat on Saturday, February 18; and an immersion experience on Saturday, April 1. The first session occurs after the opening retreat. Thursday Morning classes, in-person on campus, starts February 23.

The weekly sessions require some advance preparation and involves group contemplative prayer, journaling, spiritual exercises, paired or group sharing around questions of faith, spirituality, personal growth, etc.

*Scholarships are available. **Couples who participate in ES, can request an adjusted fee for one of the participants if you decide to share the books.

Important Details

Engaging Spirituality (from JustFaith Ministries) Part One: Sacred Space is a 10-week commitment. The $95 fee includes weekly sessions, 2 books, participants materials, ES journal and opening retreat & immersion days. Participants have preparation between each session. *Scholarships are available. **Couples who participate in ES, can request an adjusted cost for one of the participants if you decide to share the books.

The opening retreat day, is in-person/on campus, on Saturday, February 18. It occurs before the first class on February 23. Also save this date: Immersion to be held on Saturday, April 1.

* (Scholarships) Please note, we do not want cost to prevent you from participating. There are scholarships available. Please request a FIA scholarship form by emailing alw@thecasa.org. When you complete the form, you indicate what amount you can pay toward your participation, and submit the form for approval. You will then be notified of next steps. ** (Couple/shared books) To participate in Engaging Spirituality as a couple who will purchase ONE SET OF BOOKS (i.e. you intend to share the books between two people), for the second participant, the registration cost is adjusted (minus the cost of books ) to $60. To register and receive the discount, please visit or call the Guest Services/Lobby desk, indicate you are registering two participants and one will pay the adjusted fee. Guest Services staff completes the program registration form with the book discount.
