Get On The Bus AZ

Six buses filled with children and their caregivers will leave St. Patrick Catholic Community in Scottsdale, Ariz. to visit their incarcerated moms in Perryville Prison. The day starts at St. Patrick with a warm breakfast and an opportunity to make mom a Mother’s Day card. The children receive a backpack with activities to do while in transit to the prison along with a snuggly stuffed animal. The children have a pizza lunch and afternoon of games, hugs and conversation. We then get back on the bus to return to St Patrick where they will pick up a box dinner for their trip home. Some are coming from as far as New Mexico. This is an annual event on the Friday before Mother’s Day.
