The Global Celebration of Young People is a one-day retreat for young people in middle school, high school, and young adults up to 39 years old.

This year’s theme is Pope Francis’ encouragement to young people to “Dream Great Things!” Our day together will include, breakout sessions on vocation, social justice, and doing good in the world, praise and worship, exploring prayer spaces on the FRC campus, and ending with Mass together.

Theme – Dream Great Things

Christus Vivit 15. The word of God says that young people should be treated “as brothers” (1 Tim 5:1), and warns parents not to “provoke your children, lest they become discouraged” (Col 3:21). Young people are not meant to become discouraged; they are meant to dream great things, to seek vast horizons, to aim higher, to take on the world, to accept challenges and to offer the best of themselves to the building of something better. That is why I constantly urge young people not to let themselves be robbed of hope; to each of them I repeat: “Let no one despise your youth” (1 Tim 4:12).

Scripture – Ephesians 2:10 For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.

Saint – Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Modern society is drowning in the sorrows of human passions and it is distancing itself from every ideal of love and peace. Catholics, we and you, must bring the breath of goodness that can only spring from faith in Christ.
