Live more lightly on our Terra Amata, our “Beloved Earth.”
Is climate and creation care the greatest moral issue of our time?
Are we witnessing the affects of global heating ?
Is this too big, too scary, and too difficult for any one person to fix?
Every day, do our words and actions—from the way we drive, to what we eat — support solutions and inspire the people around us?
In our faith, Scripture presents the language of justice as right relationship.

And Scripture presents the language of prophecy as the voice of God. In our times, Earth has shown itself as loudly prophetic. But do we listen and learn from the natural world?

With this course, you are invited to better understand your role and responsibility for the greater good of our common home, and you are invited to join with others to explore together and seek new pathways to restore balance.

With gratitude, we must become truth-tellers, respectful visionaries, and compassionate activists.

This course is part of the “Act Love Walk” (ALW) series on Catholic social teaching through the Franciscan lens. The remainder of the series is offered at different times in any given year. Some materials purchased for this course will be used throughout the series.

Fee: $95 (includes books). Pre-registration required. Registration closes Thursday, April 20 at 7 pm. No registrations will be accepted after that date.

Virtual Monday Classes: You will need to be able to access the course through the Zoom Platform. Once you register, you will receive detailed instructions for your participation. You will also receive assignment instructions to have ready for the first session.
