Whole Hearted Trauma Training

Please join us on Saturday April 6th, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., to learn how to facilitate the Whole Hearted Program, a faith-oriented, parish-based mental health program focusing on trauma awareness.
Dr. Mike Carotta, author of the program, will lead our Whole Hearted Facilitator Training. Our seminar is presented in collaboration with the Diocese of Phoenix Office of Mental Health Ministry and Catholic Charities Phoenix and USA.
Hosted by Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish and Father Kilian McCaffrey, the training will take place on Saturday April 6th, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Start the day with Mass at 8:30 AM, learn how to facilitate four program sessions, and end the day with “What Does a Trauma Informed Parish Look Like?”
This training will teach you to understand and recognize the impact of trauma, privately assess how you or loved ones respond, use prayer and other spiritual practices as a source of strength and renewal, and identify intentional work to move forward. A light breakfast and lunch are provided.
The Seminar is open to anyone who wants to become a facilitator, start a mental health ministry, or learn more about trauma. It is not meant to replace professional care.
